Beach Lake Training Fire

Beach Lake had a live burn on December 10th. Companies who participated include Beach Lake, White Mills, Welcome Lake, Lava, Lakeville and Narrowsburg, NY.
Before the structure met it's ultimate fate, firefighters from the various companies received valuable training.

Over the several days of record rain our area received, Company 32 was there to make sure our community was always safe and protected. During the early morning hours, late into each night several area situations were monitored to minimize property and personal damage. Click here for pictures.
Best Appearing Tanker

On Wednesday, May 31st, Company 32 participated in the Hamlin Fire/Rescue parade. Tim Schwartz (shown here) proudly displayed Comany 32's Tanker bringing home two awards; Best Appearing Tanker and First To Arrive. Click here for more pictures.
Memorial Day 2006

White Mills Fire Department participated in Hawley's Memorial Day parade on May 28th as well as during the Honesdale parade on May 29th. The heat didn't keep anyone off the parade route and as always kids of all ages admired the great looking apparatus. Click here for more pictures.
Mutual Aid Training @ Rusty Palmer's

The White Mills Fire Department hosted mutual aid training at Rusty Palmer's construction site. Company 21, Beach Lake Fire Department and Honesdale's Hose 1 joined Company 32 in a live burn training for Rusty Palmer. Click here to see pictures.
2006 Firefighter's Competition

Looking to Fill the Boots of a Fire Fighter....a super crowd pleaser, The Fire Fighters Competiton will once again be held in the grandstand. Contests will include The Draughting Competition, A Relay Bucket Brigade, and The Tug of War pictured here from 2005.
These events sound normal, but each competition is altered just a bit to bring lots of laughs and audience participation. The Weekly Almanac newspaper in Honesdale will once again be sponsors.

The White Mills Fire Department is ready if you are . . . and even if you’re not!!! Whether you’re a full time resident or just share your weekends and vacations with us, “protection of life and property from the perils of fire” is our mission statement. Our all volunteer department is ready 24/7 to respond to all types of emergencies. Last year was one of our biggest years ever. Our ever increasing call volume was headlined by two major commercial fires, numerous residential structure fires and countless automobile accidents. What was once the small hamlet of White Mills and surrounding rural farm lands, is now the fastest growing commercial area in Wayne County, perhaps even northeast PA !!!! White Mills Fire Welcomes A New Member
April 5, 2006
During the monthly meeting on April 5th, the White Mills Fire Department elected to welcome new member Cari Kaleinek. Cari recently graduated the EMT Certification program and is joining WMFD as the newest member of EMS.
Sue Dirosa has also recently graduated the EMT Certification program.
Congratulations to both memebers of WMFD.
