2008 Wayne County Fair Firefighter's Competition Sign Up Form

This years FireFighter’s Competition will consist of teams from any area fire depts., PA, NY, ?? Teams shall consist of 6 persons-5 firefighters and 1 Officer-In-Charge. Equipment requirements are: Full Structural firefighting turnout gear. Teams may use “mutual aid”, however, a participant may be part of only one team. Two depts may also combine to form one team.

Events will be as follows:

Rescue Relay - Participants will do a variety of basic firefighting duties and race the clock to be the winner.
Full turnout gear for all.

Tug-of-War - Teams will use equally prepared nozzles to move a target suspended on a cable. Two minute time limit per round. Elimination event. Winners go against winners until one champion remains.

Online pre-registration is recommended but not required. However, only those pre-registered online by Aug 1, 2008 will be eligible for the “Farthest Traveled” trophy (distance determined by MapQuest results from Fair grounds to respective Station).
